About ‘Delft x Delft x Delft’ by KRAB

"Delft x Delft x Delft" is the most daring and contemporary interpretation of Johannes Vermeer’s *Girl with a Pearl Earring*.

The word DELFT is repeated seven times, large and black on white, like a newspaper, like a poster, like a shout. And then, right in the middle of all that black and white: her. Her turban in bright teal, her scarf in warm gold, her pearl a tiny blue dot. Colour as protest. Colour as presence.

The repetition of DELFT is not decoration, it is a statement. A city that keeps repeating itself until you can no longer ignore it. And yet it is she who catches your eye. Not the letters. She.

The style references the pop art tradition of Andy Warhol and the graphic power of the political poster, but the figure is from Vermeer, from the Golden Age, from Delft. Old and new collide head-on here, and the result is spot on.

Suitable for modern living rooms, creative office environments, galleries, design hotels and interiors that opt for bold wall art. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
