Every forest has something unique and is lovely to wander around in and escape from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The height of trees can sometimes surprise me and make me feel a bit small.
In this photo, I wanted to capture the length of trunks in the landscape. The warm autumn colours of leaves on the ground make up only a small part of the photo, while the front tree trunk runs throughout the image. The other trees in the background again add some sense of depth to the photo.
While taking the photo, the camera moved in height. This removes the finest details and creates a more abstract image. It is still recognisable as a forest, but the larger the photo is viewed, the more the movement becomes visible. And the more the photo looks like a painting.
It was a new way for me to capture nature, different from the usual but still recognisable. With all the focus on the beautiful colours of autumn.
