About ‘Devil's Heads in Melnik, the Czech Republic’ by Thomas Zacharias
The Devil’s Heads, situated in the midst of a pine forest, are located in the Central Bohemian region near Melník, a truly bizarre place. Two fearsome rock sculptures of the Devil’s Heads, each about nine metres high, were carved into the sandstone between 1841 and 1846 by the sculptor Václav Levý.
