About the artwork

The Manifesto of the Communist Party (German: Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei), or Communist Manifesto for short, is a pamphlet drafted by Germans Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1847 on behalf of the Union of Communists. The approximately 30-page work was published in February 1848, just before the French February Revolution, and served as the Union's political program in its participation in the revolutions of 1848.

The Communist Manifesto contains a concise exposition of Marx and Engels' ideas on economics, class struggle and revolution, which would later be expanded upon in Das Kapital, and which eventually formed the basis for Marxism.

Dmitry Moor was the professional name of Dmitry Stakhievich Orlov (Nov. 3, 1883 in Novocherkassk; † Oct. 24, 1946 in Moscow), a Russian artist known for his propaganda posters. The pseudonym "Moor" was taken from the name of the protagonists in Friedrich Schiller's play The Robbers.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
