Cathedral tower An example of being able to create an image that is not there in reality by using a very long shutter speed. The cathedral tower was completely dark and it was after 11 p.m. with a fairly cloudy sky. Using a very long exposure time (6 minutes) created this image. The Cathedral looks illuminated, but so the only light was the faint 'city light' from below. By the way, you can literally read the long exposure on the dial on the right (the dial on the left is broken): you can see that it was 8 past 11 at the beginning of the exposure and 14 past 11 at the end. This photo was taken in the evening of 23 February 2014. Dark Utrecht. That's the name of my series of photos of Utrecht places after sunset.
