About "Doolough Valley, Ireland (B&W)"

About the artwork

A trip through the Doolough Valley is a special experience. Nestled between high mountains, there are two lakes along which the Wild Atlantic Way winds its way. The unspoilt nature creates a unique idyll.

On the north side of the valley, right next to the road, a cross has been built in memory of the victims of the "Doolough Tragedy". During the great famine of 1849, hundreds of needy residents of Louisburgh left on foot to Delphi Lodge to seek food from the authorities there. However, they were harshly rejected. On the way back to Louisburgh many of them died of starvation and frost in the Doolough Valley.

A quote from Mahatma Gandhi is engraved on the cross: "It has always been a mystery to me how people can feel honoured by the humiliation of their fellow men.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
