When the heather starts flowering and the nights are cool, you get dew in the morning. A great time to go out onto the moors early and see what insects are waiting to be warmed by the sun. Early then also immediately means the alarm clock is at 4am and sometimes it is quite difficult to get out of my bed that early. But that is quickly forgotten once in nature, because then it becomes enjoyment. This damselfly was already warming up. Wings nicely spread to get as much warmth from the sun as possible. Once warmed up, they quickly fly away. This gave me the opportunity to capture this damselfly with its beautifully spread wings. A nice work above the sofa, in a hallway or bedroom.
