About ‘Dubrovnik's long narrow streets’ by Kíen Merk

In picturesque Dubrovnik, an endless narrow street stretches like a timeless scene under the merciless summer sun. Scorching heat embraces the cobblestones as the sun casts its rays on the old stone buildings that line the streets. The heat seems to take on a life of its own in the alleys, where window shutters are closed as protective shields against the scorching rays of the sun.

The alley looks like a maze, with its winding paths inviting exploration. As the sun shines tirelessly, playful shadows emerge along the cobblestones, and the silence is broken only by the gentle rustling of a summer breeze occasionally blowing through the alleyways. It seems as if time stands still for a moment under the summer heat, while Dubrovnik's residents retreat behind closed shutters and the city takes a rest.

This hushed alley offers a moment of contemplation in the afternoon heat, where the architecture, the heat, and the closed shutters together tell a story of summer in Dubrovnik, where time seems to move at its own pace.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
