About ‘Dutch Douglas DC-3’ by Eus Driessen
A Douglas DC-3, a hero of D-Day and after the WW2 owned by HRH Prince Bernard of the Netherlands to later serve as the plane for the Dutch government. A bullet hole in her hull remembers the dark days of the Second World War. This plane flew with its liberators in Operation Market Garden. This beauty still flies after 72 years.
