A portrait of a Dyeing Poison Dart Frog. The species is found in Suriname, Guyana, French Guiana and Brazil. Its habitat consists of warm tropical rainforests. It is a bottom dweller that looks for food among leaves; at some food sources such as fallen trees, the frogs can sometimes be seen in huge numbers. Its menu includes small insects such as flies and beetles. This frog does not have many enemies, because of its toxic skin secretion.
