Violence of nature, beauty and delicate emotion caused by the convergence of vibrant hues where volume, lightness and detail emerge in a dynamic symphony. A cumulus rain cloud where warm air rises and, due to temperature differences in the atmosphere, converts water vapour into water droplets that then, when they get big and cold enough, freeze and, while falling, continue the cycle as precipitation. This extraordinary chemical metamorphosis is miraculous in itself. But that it also manifests itself daily in the sky as a dramatic light show becomes even more apparent when the lighting also cooperates. During sunset, you can encounter the most spectacular colours and clouds are illuminated from the side, revealing even more depth and shades of hues. From the warm pink orange to contrasting dark blue shadows and back again. It almost looks here as if the picture was taken from cloud-height or in the mountains, but the fact that this picture could be taken this way has more to do with a river in the otherwise flat Dutch landscape. In this case, we are talking about the river IJssel, which acts as a kind of natural temperature wall so that clouds often form on one side, and let that be convenient for those who live in Zutphen, as the most fantastic spectacles can be seen from there and across the river....
