Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam. The 800 meters long Erasmus bridge photographed in black and white is the connection between the northern and southern part of Rotterdam. The suspension bridge over the river Maas has a 139 meter high steel pylon, which is mounted with 40 cables. Because of the shape of the pylon the bridge got the nickname The Swan . The Erasmus bridge is the icon of the city of Rotterdam.
The Erasmus Bridge is one of the most spectacular bridges in the world.
