About ‘Earth 3000’ by Wouter Springer

At times my sight is taken away
as if not seeing, not wanting
as flames come at me
I cautiously conclude
there is no escape from the silent.

This work involves a watercolor, India ink and acrylic ink on high pressed paper. I photographed that work and then edited it in Adobe Photoshop, including a color negative.

The original was created in a film studio in Liege, where I was allowed to draw and paint for a few days. Putting this image into color negative creates a very different work, which gave me the idea that here we are looking at a future image of if we don't do anything about climate change. The world is already on fire, but then more or less a world like in the movie Ring of Fire remains - but without dragons.

This is a fierce, intense work. It is also available in another format with a passe-partout design, which gives the idea of watching a movie in the cinema.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
