About ‘Egmond lighthouse’ by Hans Lok

Sure, a lighthouse is a bit of a cliché image, but the Egmond lighthouse here also radiates strength and energy. Vigilance and calm at the same time.
What this photo has extra is the play of nature. The dark sky behind the white tower. The sunlight coming from the right side from the west, lighting up the tower with it. The white tower, together with the background, thereby becomes a mixture of grey tones that never gets boring with a little red accent at the top along the dome and at the top under the gilded weather vane. a sturdy image that gives a sense of security in an interior. We are being watched over.
