This painting is part of my long series entitled ELEPHANTS. I am the only artist in the world who has depicted the elephant in many different techniques and styles.
? I painted the motif "Elephant lady Flora" with a fine palette knife, which allows for great structures. Such structures are particularly suitable for the elephant. The yellow in the background is intended to emphasise the warmth of the African savannah. An animal motif with a floral character that will brighten up any room.
? The elephant symbolises dignity, wisdom and intelligence. A power animal and very social. This picture is colourful and bright. It is an expression of pure life and shows flora and fauna at the same time. Of course, in real life, African elephants do not wear flower headdresses, but they are also gardeners of the forest and savannah, because: Elephants ingest seeds through their food, which are transported further through their dung and thus ensure new plant growth. Elephants are a key species, they maintain the grasslands of the African savannahs. The animals clear bushes and uproot small acacia trees, thus maintaining the habitat for grazing animals such as antelopes, impalas and gazelles.
And elephants are vegetarians, they feed on plant food. However, they also consume a lot of green fodder every day, even small branches are on their menu.
Unfortunately, elephants in the wild are threatened with extinction, mainly due to poaching and habitat destruction by humans, climate change and other threats! The greed for ivory continues unabated, especially on the Asian market. There are only around 400,000 specimens left in Africa, which is alarming. When you buy one of my pictures, I donate to elephant conservation projects.
