This group of trees is located near Buonconvento in the Crete Senesi area in Tuscany.
I knew this area because I'm a cycling enthusiast, and every year I see the professional race of the Strade Bianche, and this group of trees is right along a gravel sector that runs through the race.
I took it on a spring morning in 2021. The forecasts were for abundant mists in the interior of Tuscany, and I left early in the morning to reach the province of Siena.
After quite a bit of waiting, this group of eleven trees finally emerged from the mists, and I was able to take this very minimalistic photograph.
