About ‘Endless Blue near Cádiz’ by Anouk

I took this photograph along the coast near Cádiz during our trip through southern Spain. What I loved most about this view was just how peaceful and endless everything felt. The sea almost seems to blend into the sky and, with very little breaking up the horizon, you get the feeling that you could keep looking into the distance forever.

At low tide, large areas of rock become visible along the shoreline. Small pools of water remain between them, reflecting the blue sky above. So even though the landscape feels very calm and simple, there is actually plenty of detail to discover in the foreground.

This was one of those places where I just wanted to stop for a while and look around. There is no famous landmark or dramatic subject demanding your attention. Just the sea, a rugged coastline and an enormous blue sky.

That simplicity is exactly what I like about this photograph. For me, it captures that peaceful feeling of being by the sea, with very little around you except open space and the sound of the water.
