The Energiehuis was built in 1905 as Dordrecht’s municipal power station. Fortunately, the building has been preserved and has been in use as a cultural centre since 2013. Before I retired, I was a commercial photographer. These days, I take photographs using a large-format camera on black-and-white film, which I develop and scan myself. I have a great fondness for historic machinery such as marine engines and printing presses, old industrial buildings, and the historic city centre of Dordrecht.
