About the artwork

The present painting manifests a fascinating duality of restrained power and explosive energy. At first glance, the painting appears to be an uncontrolled discharge of colour, with powerful, flowing streams cascading down from the upper half of the picture. But on closer inspection, the inhibition is revealed in a visual metaphor: the sharp, drop-shaped tips at the lower edge look like crystalline formations that abruptly stop the flow of colour. While the upper layers of colour, especially the yellow and the bright blue, convey an almost fluid and unbridled dynamism, the lower parts show a sudden solidification. The drops and splashes, which still appear joyful and unbound in the upper part of the picture, solidify into standing forms in the lower half. This visual tension between the dynamic, flowing origin and the abrupt, static end expresses the central theme of the picture: the throttling of energy at the moment of its climax. The picture thus becomes a powerful depiction of the inner tension that arises when unrestrained movement meets unexpected resistance.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
