About the artwork

The Negev is a rocky desert. It is a mixture of brown, rocky mountains punctuated by wadis (dry riverbeds that bloom briefly after rain) and deep craters. It can be divided into five distinct ecological regions: The northern, western and central Negev, the high plateau and the Aravah or Arabah Valley. The Arabah Valley along the Jordanian border stretches 180 km from Eilat in the south to the tip of the Dead Sea in the north. The Arabah Valley is very dry with barely 50 mm of rain per year. It has inferior soils in which little can grow without irrigation and special soil treatments.

Eugen Felix Prosper Bracht (June 3, 1842 in Morges, canton of Vaud, Switzerland; November 15, 1921 in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany) was a German landscape and history painter and university lecturer.

In 1882, Bracht accepted the call to teach landscape painting at the Berlin Academy of Arts. In Dresden, Bracht took over the leadership of the master studio for landscape painting at the Dresden Art Academy in 1901/1902.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
