The Eurasian Eagle Owl is one of the largest owls in the world. The Eurasian Eagle Owl is an opportunistic hunter. This owl raids crow, raptors and owls on their roosts, after first observing them for some time from a covered vantage point. The Eurasian Eagle Owl can also sit silently on a lookout for hours until a large prey passes by. In a diving flight, the owl then usually grabs the prey by the neck to strip it of feathers and skin at the plucking site.
