About ‘FRANKFURT SILVER TOWER’ by Thomas Riess

The Silberturm (also called Silver Tower or Silberling) in the railway station district of Frankfurt am Main is one of the best-known skyscrapers in the Main metropolis. From 1978 to 1990, the 166-metre-high tower was the tallest skyscraper in Germany until it was surpassed by the Frankfurt Messeturm. Until 2008, the Silver Tower served as the corporate headquarters of Dresdner Bank and is therefore often referred to as the Dresdner Bank Tower or, after its location, the Jürgen Ponto Tower. After a comprehensive refurbishment, Deutsche Bahn has been using the building as a tenant since 23 April 2012 with the group's own IT service provider DB Sys-tel GmbH. In 2020, it was sold to the Viennese company Imfarr together with the Swiss company SN Beteiligungen Holding AG.[2]

Amateur photographer with advanced knowledge, retired for 6 years. Made my first experiences with photography as an employee at CANON and now, after many stations, take photos digitally with the Pentax K1 MK II and various lenses. My main focus is difficult to define. Actually everything that comes in front of my lens and doesn't look like a snapshot. I always try to tell a little story with my pictures or at least to get the viewer's imagination going.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
