Lothlorien is the name of the elven forest from Tolkien's 'Under the spell of the ring'. It means 'flower of the Golden Forest': a place of rest, peace and harmony, where travellers are welcome, for relaxation and good advice.
This place reminds me of that. Autumn in optima forma. The beautifully shaped oak tree holding up its golden-yellow foliage before it falls towards the end of autumn.
As a schoolboy, I sat with my father in the darkroom to print class photographs in black and white. As a reward I got some pocket money. This is where love for photography came into being, and that is how I learned the art in the analogue age.. Read more…
