About ‘Fantastic Lavender fields in France’ by Marly De Kok

In the Drome department, you will find these fields scattered all over the beautiful countryside. The best time is July because in August all the fields are threshed. There are now machines for that which the "often" small landowners share whereby the stems are rusted. the lavender flowers are cleaned and taken to factories and workshops where they are made into soap, perfume, essential oil, cleaning products and bundles or sachets for sale. The ultimate is the wonderful smell these fields give off. In every town, you can find small shops selling these products at reasonable prices. A sachet among the towels or linen at home is always because it gives off a lovely fresh scent.
Health benefits such as calming and cleansing are attributed to it. In the Middle Ages, it was also used to ward off the devil because he would not like such a delicious smell.
Its Latin name is Lavadula and it was also used earlier by the Greeks and Romans .
It is a fresh picture in which the lines take you to the horizon where a summer sky can be seen. To get a summer atmosphere in your home, you can definitely hang/use this picture.
