Father Christmas – Don’t say anything

by AidasignArt

Sometimes it’s better just to keep your mouth shut! In the spirit of the old saying about the three wise monkeys, Father Christmas reminds us that not every secret should be let slip. With a gloved index finger pressed to his lips, eyes wide open and a conspiratorial look on his face, he makes it unmistakably clear: Shhh! What happens at the North Pole stays at the North Pole! Whether it’s top-secret presents, unexpected surprises or little Christmas mishaps – this Father Christmas clearly knows more than he lets on. His shiny red aviator outfit, distinctive pilot’s cap and luxuriant white beard give him an unmistakable appearance. Behind him, a light-coloured stone texture unfolds, interspersed with generous, shimmering areas of gold and sparkling points of light. The three-dimensional design and the expressive portrait combine festive splendour with tongue-in-cheek humour.

The work was created as part of a matching triptych, but is equally compelling as a standalone artwork and, even on its own, brings a humorous, festive touch to any room. It is part of the series ‘Santa Claus Reimagined – Father Christmas on a New Mission’, in which classic Christmas motifs are reimagined in imaginative ways and interpreted with a good dose of humour.
