About ‘Fence in the Rhine’ by Mark Bolijn
A high water level in the river Rhine causes a fence in the floodplain to be submerged in water.
The long exposure time of 20 seconds creates a smooth water surface and the illusion of cloud movement. All this gives a dreamy and atmospheric effect.
The photo was taken on the banks of the Rhine in Rhenen in the province of Utrecht.
