The Ferrari 550 Maranello is the successor to the famous Ferrari Testarossa. Whereas in the Testarossa the engine was still located in the middle, the engine of the Ferrari 550 Maranello can again be found in the front. For Luca di Montezemolo, this was a nod to the Ferrari's of the '60s.
Because the Ferrari 550 Maranello has the engine in the front, the artists at Pininfarina were able to give it powerful, elegant and distinctive characteristics. Like the bonnet and the air intake for cooling the transaxle gearbox.
This particular Ferraro 550 Maranello is finished in the special and rare colour, Rosso Monza.
