Won everything there was to win in the 1-litre class and with this ABARTH 1000 you can still win something at the numerous rallies and motorsport races, e.g. at the "battle of the dwarfs" at the Nürburgring and elsewhere.
Manufactured were the ABARTH 1000 (short form) in numerous versions under the basic form of the Fiat 600 and its initial engine of 850 ccm (later 982 ccm), which were however basically from the speed and weight all approximately same. About 190 km/h and a bit more and 600 kg kerb weight plus-minus 20-30 kg.
The Abarth 1000 TCR have however engine-wise and partly externally nothing more with the original Abarth 1000 to do, their top speed lies with over 220 km/h.
My personal conclusion: A racing dwarf where you can have not only fun with it, but also today still motorsport and win the or other Henkelpott with it!
