The original Porsche 356 model was built from 1948-1955 in the coupe and convertible versions, still had a two-part windscreen and a full-length bench seat for driver and passenger.
Only from 1955 to 1959 did the 356 A version appear as Coupé, Cabrio and Speedster/Convertible D. New here was the one-piece, curved windscreen and door glasses made of tempered glass (Sekurit).
1959-1963 the Porsche 356 was revised and became the version 356 B among other things with heating nozzles for the rear window to keep it free of fogging.
1963-1965 came the version 356 C, which changed mainly because of the installation of disc brakes, were perforated disc wheels with new hubcaps without Porsche emblems.
Altogether over all versions76,302 cars were built, different ones with engines from 40-130 hp (29-96 kW).
