About the artwork

In front of a hotel in the mountains, men are fighting each other. One man, a fighter, also wants to join the fight, but is stopped by a woman. Another man stands on the side with a pot of beer and doesn't join in the aggression.

A horse, a grey one at that, is getting restless from the commotion and is kept in check by another guy. Behind him is a horse and cart containing a lady who is looking on in resignation. The innkeeper comes out and calls out to the pair of brawlers. A waitress brings another beer while the dog storms out.

A mountain landscape with bare mountain tops in the background with here and there some snow under a blue sky with clouds.

Johann Heinrich Bürkel (May 29, 1802 in Pirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany; June 10, 1869 in Munich, Bavaria) was a German Biedermeier painter. He painted mainly landscapes and depictions of folk life in the Alps and Italy.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
