About "Fire & Flood - The dance of the elements under water"

by Klaus Tesching

About the artwork

Two women, two worlds, united in an electrifying underwater moment: one in flaming red, with hair like blazing embers - the epitome of fire. The other, cloaked in flowing shades of blue, green and yellow that wrap around her body like an ocean current - a symbol of the tide.

This picture is not a still portrait, but an allegory full of energy. The fabrics of her clothes explode into the surroundings like liquid sculptures, every detail an expression of dynamism and tension. They face each other, not in enmity, but in intense dialogue. Their gazes pierce the water - proud, dignified, powerful.

Air bubbles rise up like smoke and mist, the rays of light break through the darkness and set the scene as if on a stage. It is an underwater ballet in which movement and symbolism merge. One figure embodies impulse, passion, instinct - the other calm, change, depth.

In the midst of this staging, a field of tension arises that is more than mere aesthetics: it is the moment in which opposites meet, measure themselves and define each other.

"Feuer & Flut" is a visual poem about duality, balance and the creative potential of contrasts - told through bodies, fabrics and light, captured in the stillest of all stages: the depth of water.
