It was raining cats and dogs in the beautiful old fortified town of Heusden and the Vismarkt was deserted. No tourist or resident wanted to venture outside in this pouring rain. Yet one brave woman and I the photographer braved the rain. She strolled across the cobblestones of the harbour market with her bright yellow umbrella as her only protection from the rain. Her footsteps echoed hollowly in the empty streets and the buildings reflected glisteningly in the puddles in front of her feet. It was almost as if the city was hers alone for a moment. It was a unique moment This photo, taken on Heusden's Vismarkt, shows the beauty of a city in the rain and serves as a reminder of the brave and admirable woman who braved the rain on her own .
Alone or together with Albert and our dogs I go out to take pictures.
