About ‘Flow state’ by Tijmen Hobbel

On a beach in the Lofoten Islands, the receding tide traces dark lines through the light-coloured sand. Fine minerals are carried along by the current and left behind in whimsical, organic patterns. The result looks almost as if it were painted: an interplay of soft shades of grey, flowing shapes and subtle details.

The absence of a clear horizon or recognisable landscape gives the photograph an abstract quality. The patterns may be reminiscent of marble, billowing smoke, a topographical map or a drawing in Indian ink. Everyone can discover something different in them.

The cool, tranquil colours fit well within a Scandinavian, minimalist or modern interior. The work attracts attention without being overbearing and brings a sense of space and tranquillity to a living room, bedroom, study or hallway.

The photograph was taken in the Lofoten Islands in northern Norway. A landscape renowned for its mountains, fjords and beaches, but where nature also reveals itself on a smaller scale. What existed here only temporarily in the sand has been preserved in this photograph as a natural and unique work of art.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
