This colorful floral still life is composed of 17 separate photographs, with each flower or leaf photographed separately.
These separately photographed flowers and leaves were then carefully cut out and placed in the vase with great precision.
With lilies, lupins and tulips, among others, it is a colorful whole that, through the use of light, looks like a true painting.
I created this still life during the lockdown of December 2021. I wanted to create some positivity especially during this dark period. I find that flowers radiate a lot of positivity. And so for this still life I decided to go for lots of color and different and special flowers.
I want to give a warm feeling with this still life. With soft light and a lot of contrast, I want to bring back the picturesque. Because the flowers are perfectly positioned, the image arouses curiosity about how it was created.
This work looks beautiful in stylish interiors. It draws attention, but in a subtle way.
Hi :) I'm Petri, a photographer from Breda, the Netherlands.
In 2020 I graduated from the School of Photography.
I like to make digital art in a painterly style.
My still lifes consist of multiple images. The elements are photographed separately and merged with photoshop into 1 whole. My intention is to make the image seem somewhat unrealistic on purpose, so that curiosity arises in the viewer.
