Lac d'Allos is the highest mountain lake in Europe. It lies around 2200m altitude in Allos in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region, France. Around the lake you can go for a walk or picnic and you have a great chance to meet mountain marmots. Around the lake are beautiful flower fields and the mountains reflect beautifully in the crystal blue water of the melted snow. A pearl in the mountains it looks like Canada in Europe!
