Details and macro close-up of purple heather (Calluna vulgaris) in a flowering heather field in a nature reserve on the Dutch Veluwe. The flowering heather is mostly heather which together with the heather gives endless landscapes of purple and pink colors. In the mornings and evenings at sunrise and sunset there is a special atmosphere during a walk due to the beautiful light that shines between the flowers and plants.

This plant grows well on fairly dry sandy soils. Shrub heather is a plant that needs a lot of sun, roughly speaking, the heather blooms from mid-July to mid-September.
