This approaching bumblebee represents for me what I see when I stand looking at these poppies. It is a big crowd there with flying off and on. Apparently these poppies are very attractive to the bumblebee.
The color of the poppy, it's called papaver somniferum I'm told, also forms a nice contrast with the animal.
I took the picture with my 70-200 mm lens. What I also like very much are the lines of the poppy leaf.
Who am I, a small intro:
Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
