Zoltán Palugyay (1898 - 1935) was a Slovak painter. He is considered a formative pillar of modern art in Slovakia. The motif of village houses became the theme of his work, expressing the parable of national and human destiny and depicted in different seasons. In addition, he often showed other landscape and figure motifs, village corners, landscape panoramas or groups of trees. Part of his work also consists of numerous still lifes. Occasionally he also painted portraits.
