When was the last time you drove because you just wanted to at the time? No practical reason, no destination - just in your old trusty car to the next road. For us, this is a weekly habit, or rather a weekly mindfulness. And while it will unfortunately not become a weekly habit for us in this Ford Escort, it certainly cleared my head for a whole day. While I was thinking about this, it occurred to me what makes driving so enjoyable and soothing after all. Of course, as a classic car enthusiast, I should add that the amount of rest is quite variable depending on the classic car you drive. But in general, you could say that starting your car - at the moment when you don't know where you are going - feels like the beginning of some kind of adventure. But in an age when everything is more comfortable and automated, this real feeling is becoming rarer and rarer. So if you still want to feel like a real part of driving, you rely on a real, pure car.
