Everything was a little bigger, wider, longer and, depending on the version, 100 kg heavier, but also a lot more conservatively designed. Nevertheless, the success did not fail to materialise: 710,059 vehicles were sold in just three years, over 40,000 more than its predecessor, the Ford Taunus 17M P3.
