This Vijlenerbos near Vaals and Aachen is really beautiful. Partly because of the differences in altitude, you have great views at many p0leks or look far into the woods.
In this case, I chose a photo that actually has virtually no view. But the evening light (golden hour) exposed the few leaves still on the trees and the ferns (late December) so beautifully. It gave a mystical, intimate atmosphere that I really loved.
It was a bit misty and the trees and ferns lit up in a strange way.
In short for me, it had something magical about it. I hope those who see it can also enjoy it.
Who am I, a small intro:
Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
