With this image you imagine yourself back in time. In a dilapidated old house in Sweden, it is as if time has stood still for 45 years. But also, the ravages of time, rain, wind, sun and snow, have almost pulverized the piano. No tone comes out of it anymore.
By chance I passed by and peered inside. I took photos in one breath, amazed at the singularity of what I saw. Impressed how rain, snow and sun give color to what has been left behind.
The faded colors, the light, the gradually pulverizing wood, give a rustic, but also unique character to decay.
I wondered: Who lived there? What kind of people were they? Why did they leave leaving behind even this piano? How long will this stay like this? At the same time: they could come back in like that.
This picture gives your new, or old, interior a special patina, balances impermanence with your surroundings. Taking a breath with your mouth open.
