The Frauenkirche appears majestically above the terrace bank of the city of Dresden. In the best light and with the most beautiful clouds I was allowed to capture this scene in August 2022. A real pearl in Saxony.
The Frauenkirche in Dresden was destroyed by airstrikes on February 13 and 14, 1945, and since then was considered a memorial of war. The ruins then remained for more than 40 years! Even as a child I saw the ruins. The reconstruction began on January 4, 1993 with the removal of the rubble and ended on October 30, 2005 with the consecration by the bishop of Saxony Jochen Bohl.
