An Aérospatiale Gazelle helicopter of the French Army. The Gazelle is a modern French multi-task helicopter with fixed landing gear. This helicopter is part of the French ALAT (Aviation Légère de l'Armée de Terre). The Gazelles were made not only at Aérospatiale in France, but also at Westland Aircraft in Britain (292 ex). In total, as many as 1,775 Gazelles "jumped" off the assembly line between 1967 and 1969. The French and British Army were the biggest customers in this regard. Currently, the ALAT is still flying some 30 SA 342M Gazelles until 2035.
