This work shows two African elephants (Loxodonta africana) in close-up who clearly like each other. I photographed this friendly pair at a watering hole somewhere in the bush of Botswana. The Elephants had just been drinking, which can still be seen by the wet trunks and wet leg of one of them. For me, this work is significant because it shows a piece of behaviour of these interesting animals. The work also exudes a certain serene calm. This is enhanced by converting to black and white. I have stylised the background to better show off the Elephants.
