Friesian horses in the Polder.
The Friesian horse, abbreviated the "Fries", is the oldest indigenous breed of horse in the Netherlands. The breed is also called the "Black Pearl of Friesland". (wikipedia)
I photographed these Friesian horses on an overcast day in the Arkemheen Polder in Nijkerk.
Because of the overcast weather, the light was beautifully soft and the colors came out nicely.
That eventually resulted in this photo.

Polder Arkemheen is one of the oldest polders in the Netherlands, located near the Gelderland town of Nijkerk in the municipalities of Nijkerk and Putten. The polder came into existence after Duke Reinoud III of Gelre granted the right to dike the area on March 28, 1356. (wikipedia)
