In summer, the Furka Pass transforms into an enchanting landscape, where green alpine meadows stretch under a brilliant blue sky. A lone motorist deftly navigates the winding roads, surrounded by an abundance of flowers and herbs blooming along the roadside. The sound of cowbells in the distance mingles with the gentle hum of insects, and occasionally the silence is broken by the rushing of the young Rhone.
Young Rhone refers to the upper part of the Rhone River before it extends to the Mediterranean. The Young Rhone area is characterised by mountainous terrain, with the river flowing through the Alps before reaching the plains. The source of the Rhone is on the Rhone Glacier in Switzerland, and from there the river flows southwards through France.
