Geometric art | a visual journey through shapes and colours
intro:
Geometric art captures the imagination, and I can't get enough of it. The use of shapes is endless - from clean lines to abstract compositions.
And when I then also play with colours, either with harmonious palettes or contrasting shades, it creates a dynamic effect that immediately grabs attention.
If I'm honest, I was always less good at geometry during my maths classes, but the art of geometric shapes brings me so much more pleasure.
Geometric portrait
This work is a visual treat for the eyes. A black triangle is the centre of the composition, with two horizontal circles reminiscent of eyes and a red line forming the mouth. The result? A geometric portrait with a surprisingly human look.
The combination of black and purple creates a subtle, elegant contrast, while the blue cubes finish it off.
This work is a nod to the simplicity of human forms, but completely abstracted in geometric style.
