The railway viaduct that you see was built between July 1897 and October 1898. The viaduct is known to the general public because it was used in the Harry Potter films as the place where the Hogwarts Express passed. That train ran between London King's Cross Station Platform 9¾ and Hogsmeade station. In reality, the viaduct is on the West Highland Line. This line connects the ports of Mallaig and Oban, via Fort William, crossing the scenic Scottish Highlands. The route is therefore seen as one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world.
