Golden Hour at Sognstupet Waterfall in Idre

ARTWORK: ‘RUSHING CURRENTS’

Bring the pure, unspoilt primal power of the Swedish natural landscape straight onto your own wall with this cinematic, sweeping portrait of the Sognstupet waterfall. This atmospheric and high-contrast artwork draws the viewer’s gaze along an impressive linear perspective: from the rugged, massive granite cliffs and colourful summer morning sky, right through the wildly swirling, clear waters of the Storån River, to the dense and rugged pine forests in the distance.

The panoramic, horizontal composition emphasises the vastness and intense tranquillity of the unspoilt wilderness in the Idre region, situated in the province of Dalarna (Sweden). Thanks to the refined touch and the crystal-clear sharpness of the focus stack, the foaming, ice-cold water bursts forth with extraordinary power and clarity from the deep shadows of the rocks, whilst the dense forest retains its heavy, mysterious character. A robust and characterful work of art that brings the pure wilderness (nature) and the untamed power of the Far North tangibly into your home.

This high-quality landscape photograph has been post-processed in a mature, ‘moody’ style with deep contrasts and muted, Nordic shades of green. This sweeping panorama is a timeless statement piece that complements a modern, industrial or minimalist interior beautifully. The work creates a unique atmosphere (feeling) that brings pure tranquillity and silence above a large sofa, a sideboard or in the hall. An exclusive artwork by Dylan Winter Visuals, capturing the wild nature of Scandinavia.
